Franco's Bar is a celebrated open-air rooftop cocktail bar in Positano, on the Amalfi Coast, owned by the prestigious Hotel Le Sirenuse and conceived as a tribute to the late Franco Sersale — a man of legendary taste and refinement. Perched above the colourful rooftops and dramatic sea cliffs, the terrace delivers a sensation of floating above the Mediterranean, with sweeping views of the mountains and sea that define one of Italy's most beautiful villages. The drinks programme is decidedly quality-first, with fine spirits, Champagne, and perfectly executed classic and signature cocktails — including the bellini margarita and the Bite Me — served in the correct glass for each drink. A simple menu of popcorn, olives, and burgers keeps things pleasingly uncomplicated. Open daily from 6pm to 1am, no reservations are taken, preserving a spontaneous and democratic spirit that sets Franco's apart from the more formal venues of the Amalfi Coast.
