Fontenay Bar

The Fontenay Bar is a breathtaking rooftop cocktail bar on the sixth floor of The Fontenay hotel, elegantly positioned on the shore of the Alster Lake in Hamburg, Germany. Spanning approximately 500 square metres, the bar commands a spectacular 320-degree panoramic view over the Alster Lake, the Elbphilharmonie, and Hamburg's historic town hall, creating one of the most celebrated elevated vistas in the city. An interior lounge open year-round is complemented by an airy seasonal terrace ideally suited to sunny afternoons and warm starlit evenings. The cocktail programme is inspired by bartenders from around the world, drawing on seasonal ingredients, homemade elements, and contemporary techniques to produce a menu of extraordinary proprietary creations. The atmosphere is luxurious yet welcoming, and no table reservations are required, keeping the bar refreshingly open and spontaneous.
